Hope in Beauty

I see a pattern in You, Jesus, that is different from the engagement characterized in our broken world. It was a pattern of growing in favour with God and man. It was quiet journey until the moment came when it was “your” time. Effective strategy always demonstrates much planning and preparation. It requires putting pieces in place for the right occasion with symmetry. God our Daddy God did exactly that!

To be aware of this reality, I need to recognize that I am not in a mad race to the finish line. I am in a process created by my Daddy God to shift culture- first in myself and then in others around me. I need a culture of seeing beauty, of becoming beautiful. Once lived, I then will courageously hold hands with others in our broken fractured world and lift it up so that it too can feel the kiss of beauty from you the Creator of all that is beautiful.

Beauty is so tantalizing, and so easily lost. It is so fragile it seems, until  we hear its voice that shakes the earth and our being in ways that are both astounding in volume and power! To trust in this reality requires me to step out in faith. Somehow grace works amidst the brokenness of people and horror and unleashes beauty in the most unexpected circumstances. So I learn to hope in beauty and trust in the wonder of grace to take mine and others brokenness and create something beautiful that will last forever.
