Humility is life

Humility,

she walked in!

She was so bright and full of life.

I gasped!

Intrigued,

I sidled up

to know this wonder of delight.

She spoke!

Bewitched,

I stood transfixed.

She spoke of life lived differently.

I hurt!

Confused,

I saw my life anew.

The trampled flowers from my feet –

I unaware!

Embraced,

I felt her breath!

The sweetest kiss of grace,

she gave!

Refreshed,

I turned away!

Expecting her to follow me.

She didn’t!

Amused,

I thought her fickle.

But I had left her crying!

I’m blind.

Humility,

she came again.

She whispered and she sang.

I heard.

Challenged,

I see my need.

I can not walk alone without her heart.

She’s life.

  1. Through the chaos of our world today, and the tragic events taking place.. how lovely this poetry to whom you write, so they may feel heart caresses to shelter their fears with your love. Beautiful dear poet!
